Sitting somewhere between deep house and techno, big hooks, rolling chunky basslines and tribal percussion are the three main elements of his selection. With 20 years experience under his belt, Daniel still remains one London’s more elusive artists, focussing his efforts on his forward thinking, quarterly party and sticking to the Cerca Trova mantra… quality over quantity.

Influenced by his older brother, Daniel first tried his hand at mixing at the tender age of 13. As expected, it didn't go too well at first, but after plenty of practice and guidance from his sibling, he found his technique. Little did he know that this would set him on the path he still walks to this day, over 20 years later.

His DJ career first started in 1998 when he took his first booking for Cultural Vibes, a weekly UK Garage party for which he became a rotational resident under the name DANNY BLUNT. He quickly built a reputation for his sound, slightly different and more rugged than most were playing. The key to his sound was simple, play the B-side, which earned him the nickname Danny 'B-side' Blunt amongst friend for obvious reasons.

It wasn't long until he started picking up bookings at some of London's major garage nights, more notably GARAGE NATION and INSPIRATION. During this time he played clubs such as colosseum, gas club and the infamous Sunday Arches.

The following decade took him on a journey through many different sounds, but always house. Still searching for the music that made him feel alive like 'the good old days', Danny found himself searching deeper into techno and tech house, and finally found his calling.

In 2008, he rediscovered himself. Under the name DANIEL he formed the infamous London basement party, CERCA TROVA, with long time raving buddy, and (then) up and coming DJ, Rossko. What started as a shindig for a few friends soon grew into one of East London's most notorious parties, bringing amazing international and local DJ's together, in unique intimate basement and warehouse spaces. Cerca Trova is now in its 6th year and shows no signs of slowing down.

In more recent years he has been working hard developing his sound in the studio, and with several releases imminent, Daniel is keen to push his sound further into the vinyl market, with the forthcoming launch of CERCA TROVA LONDON.

Daniel has found a perfect balance between depth and energy in his music, both as a DJ and a Producer.
